“I have stayed here before and have some fond memories of those previous outings. Nothing much has changed and it is still a lovely and comfortable place for an overnight stop. The lodge has great gardens where you can take a relaxing walk, feed some ostriches if that is on your to do list or just sit on the porch of Rosies cottage and enjoy the fresh air. The buffet dinner was delicious. The area around the lodge is steeped in historic battle grounds and has some museums that you could visit if you have the time. Take a few days out and see the countryside around Battlefields and you will come back for more.”
“The bar man who was on duty on Friday afternoon 25th May – a great young man indeed. The overall service from reception to kitchen, even the guy at the packing bays. It was awesome to see him stop what he was doing to show us where we could park to be closer to our room and walking us to the room. The highlight was for the owner to find time to come greet us and had a chat with us. That made us feel warmly welcomed. Thank you.”

As a low hour Pilot stretching his wings to his first fly in destination, the welcome and assistance at Battlefields made my trip memorable, and having a bit of wind, my aircraft was secured by the friendly staff giving me peace of mind so I could enjoy my stay at this beautifully kept Country Lodge. The reception at Battlefields was Exceptional, The accommodation and the ever helpful staff made our stay heavenly. The warm cosy beds in clean rooms gave us a wonderful nights sleep. Evenings are spectacular. A tranquil place to take the whole family, very safe, and the personal Managerial hand, kept any unpleasantness far away.
